Sleeping Is Important!

This what I look like when I am sleeping comfortably. Nothing like having a good night's sleep. During this time my mind is very active. In this time my body rests and my mind continues to think and create new ideas, new compositions, new short animation ideas and during this time my imagination is most active. During sleep I am allowed to focus on all the cool, fun and crazy things that I will be creating.

So, make sure you get plenty of sleep on a regular basis. 'Cause sleeping is your "you" time to let your body catch and your mind to feel free and create and imagine anything!

Redish: Urban Outfitters

Sorry world for literally dying and not posting for almost a year. At least we can always go back and try to do what we want and make these posts a habit. This next post is actually one I did a few years ago with my photographer Iggy @Iggy on Instagram. Since then he has been taking many of my pictures.

This was taken in Beverly Hills. Taken just off of Santa Monica Boulevard. Featuring all clothing; hat, shirt, pants and shoes from Urban Outfitters. 

The Sunglasses here are Local Supply.

 The shoes are Snake Skin Vans. Of course not actual snake skin but the design. The pictures below were edited with the app Frametastic, and Pic Stich. Both of which I use for most of my iPhone editing. The color effects in the picture below is from Pic Stich and an app call Afterlight.

 The selfie right above was actually taken at the Glendale Promenade mall and Shopping Center. I will try to post more often. Gotta stick to it! 

Nearly 2 Months of being Missing!

Wow! I  haven't posted anything in so long! Let's just say Februrary was a very busy month. And being busy isn't a bad thing. It's just being busy. Through out the weekend days of February I was one of the lead star roles of a short film called "Little Things." I will discuss more of the project in detail in one of my next posts. I am also in the process of developing my first mobile game app. I also got to help one of my closest friends at her Fashion App Launch Party! The last couple of weeks have been intense, with multiple jobs, projects and other things but they have been fun ones! I won't deny I am a bit exhausted even now but I am very happy that I got to be apart of the projects and things that have been going on lately. I just needed to post something to let you all know I am alive and well! I will be sharing my latest escapades soon! This is also a recent picture of me, just before I got my beautiful hair cut off! I hope to grow it that long and pretty again soon!

I came across an artist on Instagram and tumblr a few months back and actually drew an amazing picture that resembles me completely! I was amazed at how accurate he was at depicting everything and really bringing out my personality through his artwork!

The Dragon Ring

The "Dragon Ring" is one of the posts I have been really looking forward to posting for a while now. I was never one to really wear jewelry, but lately I have taken interest in it. I have been looking at jewelry more and more after this photo shoot. The ring itself, I'm not sure who made it but it really captured my interest in rings.The ring came to me from a roommate who is a designer himself. He had to move to Florida because extenuating circumstances but I believe  he will be back in Los Angeles soon. The pictures were taken by @Afashionnerd.

The button down gray shirt that I am wearing is designed by Eighty Eight. Its one of my favorite shirts to wear and has a very upscale look. . The pants are made by Patroncito, I got them in Downtown Los Angeles in Santee Alley. Its a popular location in the fashion district to find quality clothing at an affordable price.

The shoes I have feature before on a previous blog. Alejandro Ingelmo Shoes. I came across these shoes in a store in the Beverly Center.

 The store is called Politix. I fell in love with them when I came across them and have wear them often. I even took them with me to my recent trip to San Francisco, CA. I am also going to feature them on several upcoming blogs.

One of my First Photo Shoots in Los Angeles - My Journey

 These pictures come from one of the first photo shoots I had in Los Angeles. They were taken in a Downtown loft not far from USC. At the time I just moved to Los Angeles I would say nearly 6 years ago. Thinking about it makes me want to upload a compare and contrast picture of me 5 years ago and how I look now.

Back then I had no idea where my journey would take me but I have come a long way from composing songs for fun, to composing music for short films, and the journey is still not over. Everyday I am learning and experiencing new things. Sometimes learning is a difficult experience but I would never take back the things I have learned or the difficulties of finding my path. Los Angeles has given me strength and weakness, joy and sorrow, opportunity and set backs but I love this city.

Currently, I take pictures of a fashion blogger by the name of Amy Roiland. Her Instagram handle is @afashionerd. Taking pictures for her has taught
me a lot about fashion photography and the camera.
Taking pictures for her has also inspired me to take up fashion shooting myself a few of my favorite outfits that I like to wear. Of course, they might not be standard fashion for most people but I like what I wear. Skinny jeans are probably the hardest thing for me to ever get used to. They are too tight for me, but its something I must learn to like and wear.

Animation is another thing I have taken interest in. I have learned a lot of what it takes to create 2D animation and am hoping to learn more about 3D animation soon. So far, animation to me has proven to be the most fun for me. Hearing my music as the soundtrack of an animation has made me quite the happiest guy on earth! That's just some of my journey, and I look forward to so much more and the rest of my journey living in Los Angeles.

Urban Outfitters (#UOonU) - Melrose Alley

Today I decided to feature all Urban Outfitters! I was out shopping with Afashionnerd (@AFasionNerd) and passing through the men's section I was sidetracked. I needed to get a new outfit that day and so I did! The location we shot the pictures was in the alleys at Melrose! Iggy Photography shot the picture. The colors really match the wall behind me.

The button up shirt is from Globe, nice grayish white shirt. The T-shirt is from Pool House,

Michael Brandon Jeans always comfortable to wear. These jeans are loose fit and call me whatever you like but I prefer my pants be loose rather than tight.

The Vans Snake Skin shoes were really cool and they first caught my eye!

First Keyboard Pictures

Just some pictures from one of my first photo shoots in Los Angeles. I just recently moved to LA when I had these pictures taken.  I just was beginning the big journey of music an composing for the big screen an still had so much to learn about how much hard work it would take to make these big dreams come true! 

This is also during the time where I had the opportunity to compose for the first film I made music for the documentary short, the "Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher."

Me Playing the Piano

I love to play piano. It's a lifeline. A weakness. A love of mine. My pride and downfall. My hope and fear. My driving force and my distraction! Gosh! Playing the piano is everything. Almost! Hahaha! It's fills me and relieves me in so many ways unknown to most. Not to sound impolite or rude but I can't a imagine how people can live without being able to play a musical instrument. But that's prolly cause we who play are really weird people anyways. And to me, weird is unique. Not mainstream. Hey, I'm finally blogging something easy. Yay! Music! Something I don't have to think really hard about to actually motivate me to write about it either. I don't know if I am grammatically correct there but with music I couldn't be more righter! Usually I play what I am currently composing but quite often I fun myself looking back to the classics for their awesome insight. Studying the great works of the past help me develop myself and my creativity. Such composers from the baroque period all the way to the contemporary. Even before the baroque even, but mostly music during the time where the piano was played. By contemporary I don't exactly mean just what you hear on the radio but also the contemporary program composers. My favorite composition style would definitely be music from the post-romantic era. Not a very specific defined area of music history per se, but definitely an area where composers and music was able to take tonality and spread to an amplified key or just break the rules altogether and make something chaotic or in a unique dissonant way, make something extraordinarily beautiful. Music whether its classical, ethnic, pop, rock, folk, alternative, soundtrack, atonal, or whatever it might be, it all serves a purpose. All the music out there whether its something we can enjoy or not so much serves a unique purpose in a certain time or place. I guess this is my post for appreciating music and my great love for playing the piano. It is something will always be with me!

My Keyboard and that I Can't Tie a Tie that Well.

Headshot outside close in Studio City. Ties have always been a difficult thing or me. I remember someone once should me how to tie the tie in a certain way that you could adjust the length all the time and the tie shape would stay intact! It was so cool! I gotta learn how to do it again or search online on YouTube or something.

I still am in that "not sure what to post" moment each time I feel the urge or desire to write something so I guess I will just talk about what just occurred to me to post about. Where I spend most of my time in LA. Well, I spend most of my time in Beverly Hills. Beverly Hills is just of one of the places I spend most of my time working. I also frequently work in West LA and travel mainly around "the hills" area. When I am not working I am usually spending my time in Studio City, Sherman Oaks in the valley and Mid City area south Hollywood, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Culver City, Westwood and Brentwood. Every so often I'll make a trip to Koreatown, Downtown LA, maybe Silverlake or Los Feliz area as well but for the most part I stick around "the hills." So that's it for now. It's been a long long day and I just retire to bed. Night night my blog readers.
